The Preschool will be hosting Open House and Parent/ Teacher Orientation on August 14, 2007, in the front of the church sanctuary @ 7:00pm.  You are welcome to come and meet our staff and parents and hear what our plans for the year are.

The Preschool teachers invite you to their open house on Sunday, August 19th. The teachers will be having snacks and drinks available as you tour their rooms and see how we have progressed. The open house will be immediately after the 8:30 service and before the 11:00 a.m. service. Come and participate in all we have been working towards. Thanks to each and everyone of you who have helped to make the school a success.

Join Dr. Tim Jenney in room 108 at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays (August 22 - December 19) as he shows you how to watch for the lamb, not the beast; how to worship, not tremble in fear over every new trouble in the world. And, you will see that GOD is in control, not Satan. Register on the attendance sheet today! Note: There will be no class on November 21.

We will be starting our Wednesday Night Program. Our Kick Off will be Wednesday September 5. We will hold our meetings from 6 - 7:15. We will be using the Friendship First curriculum for the first 13 weeks.

 

 

Beginning September 2, we will have a 4th and 5th grade Bible Study. The meeting time will be at 5:30 to allow you to drop both your teens and preteens off at the same time. What makes this event special is we are partnering with different congregations in Winter Haven to reach out to the community.

 

Great News!! We will be offering a children's choir in the fall. If this is something that you would be interested in please contact Erical Miracle. I am looking for children and volunteers of any age whom would like to help during this time. It will start on Sunday Sep. 9 from 5-5:30 in Asbury Hall. We will begin learning music for the CHRISTMAS PROGRAM.

 

We are trying to get a proper count for our programs. Please let Erica know if your child is excited and wants to particpate in any of these activities that have been developed out of your requests. Mark your calendar  because they are arriving quickly and if you have any questions, feel free to contact Erica at the church 324-6347 or email erica@sjum.org.

Youth Group - Cross Training Camp for August 12th, 13th, and 14th is cancelled. It is going to be rescheduled. Date to be announced later.

The excitement will be on August 17th and 18th. The cost is $20 or $7 if you are only attending the lock-in.

 The C & C Java Pub invite you to roam through Romans with us at 7 P.M. in Wesley Hall. Bring both a friend and a Bible.
